As part of your membership in Omega Verksted, you can order components through the organization. This comes with the benefit of being able to use professional-only component suppliers such as Farnell, as well as getting free shipping due to bulk orders. Generally, we will send a bulk order when there are enough items to qualify for some kind of benefit such as free shipping.

How to order components

1. Find your desired components at Farnell or DigiKey¹

   • Make sure the component is in stock 
     
     

2. Find the total of your order by multiplying your order with the appropriate multiplier, see the table below.

   • For Farnell and Digikey multiply your order by 1.3, to cover VAT, shipping and a small amount to OV
     
     

3. Make sure you have enough money in your OBS account - you will be automatically charged when the order is sent.

   If you don't have enough money in your account your order will not be included in our bulk order.

4. Open your e-mail client, copy the table below and fill in your order:

   PS: For Elsys groups (projects in TTT4255 and TTT4270) the username is <emnekode>-<group number>. EXAMPLE: ttt4255-3
   PPS: if you order for a group or organization, the Username is the name of this organization.
   
   

5. Send the e-mail of your order with the table to komp@omegav.no.
   PS: For Elsys groups the subject of the e-mail should be the "emnekode"

¹ You can also order from the suppliers listed below. We send Farnell orders about every 1-2 weeks depending on the season.
